About KCOM
KCOM is the historic Hull-area telephony incumbent, originally Kingston Communications, and remains the largest broadband and voice provider across Hull and East Yorkshire. The network is fully separate from Openreach (a unique position in the UK) and KCOM has been one of the earliest full-fibre UK operators, having built out FTTP across its Hull footprint significantly earlier than the national rollout. For consumers in the Hull region, KCOM is typically the default broadband choice, with limited Openreach overbuild and selected altnet activity in recent years.
Key services
- Full-fibre 100 Mbps to 1 Gbps
- Hull and East Yorkshire focus
- Landline and voice continuity
- Business and home tariffs
- Optional TV bundles
Partnerships and tenancy
INCA member. Wholesales access to selected resellers in the Hull area. Affiliate distribution via Awin. Macquarie hired Perella Weinberg Partners in Q1 2026 to explore a sale; Northleaf Capital Partners (also backs Quickline) reportedly expressed interest in May 2026.
Acquiring KCOM-intent traffic through the FBRE broadband network is one of the most efficient routes for ISPs and altnets that compete in KCOM's footprint. See ISP advertising for tenancy tiers from £99 per month.
