What this measures

Ahrefs Domain Rating (DR) is a third-party metric maintained by Ahrefs that scores a domain's backlink profile on a 0 to 100 logarithmic scale (Ahrefs, n.d.). DR is correlated with, but not identical to, Moz Domain Authority and Majestic Trust Flow. We sample every domain in this index on the same date each month via the public Ahrefs Website Authority Checker. DR can vary day to day and is shown to one whole number.

For reference, the following table samples a selection of major UK telco brand and comparison domains by latest publicly-visible Ahrefs DR. This is a snapshot and is updated quarterly. Where DR data is unavailable or fluctuating, the cell reads "data pending".

What the FBRE network DR means for advertisers

DR 70 to 74 is significant in the UK telco comparison segment: it places the SearchSwitchSave Group network within reach of the established mainstream comparison brands, while remaining smaller and more focused than the very largest UK consumer-finance domains. For advertisers, this means tenancy and editorial placements on the FBRE network carry meaningful authority for both direct traffic and for SEO citation. Placement is verified by Ahrefs Site Explorer, can be cross-checked at any time, and is supported by network-wide headline reach of 12,000,000+ verified impressions and 730,000+ clicks per year in the 12 months to 24 May 2026. The FBRE.uk hub alone recorded 2,030,786 impressions and 15,199 clicks in Google Search Console for the same period (Google, 2026).

Methodology

Ahrefs DR is a third-party independent metric updated monthly. We sample on the last working day of each quarter for this index. Domain choice is based on the largest UK telco brand websites, the major UK comparison sites that cover broadband, and selected reference brands for benchmarking. We do not pay to be included in this index; inclusion is purely on market relevance. See methodology for full sourcing detail.
